As I mentioned, social media branding is an extension of your brand. Think colors, stock photos, fonts, copy, and more. When you go on Target’s social media, you’d expect to find red, white, simple fonts, the Target logo, and images of shopping aisles. And that is what you will find.
When you create a cohesive look across your brand, you’re doing a few things. First, you're establishing brand recognition. You want people to know it’s you before they ever see your user name.
Second, you’re standing as a legit, established brand. You’re coming across as someone who knows what they are doing and who can be trusted (even if it feels like you're throwing social content together behind the scenes).
