From Polite to Preppy: The New Era of Moonstruck Events

There’s a difference between giving your brand a glow-up and giving it meaning. And when Courtney from Moonstruck Events came to me, we knew we were going to do both.

She had built something beautiful from the beginning—warm, heartfelt, boho-leaning. But her brand no longer matched the level of detail, style, and polish she was bringing to the table for her couples. It was time to evolve. To turn the volume up. But not to lose herself in the process.

The Vision

Courtney was craving a visual identity that felt more her now: colorful, preppy, elevated—but still deeply sentimental. The goal wasn’t to abandon where she started. It was to honor it, and build something that allowed her brand to grow alongside her business.

She wanted Moonstruck to feel personal. Stylish. Thoughtful. The kind of brand that doesn’t just blend in with beige timelines and overused Pinterest scripts—but one that feels like a part of the couple’s love story.

The Strategy

We started with deep-dive strategy sessions:
✔️ Audience refinement and emotional brand positioning
✔️ Messaging that moves people—built around Courtney’s love for the journey of planning, not just the wedding day
✔️ Visual direction rooted in preppy sophistication with softness, sentiment, and smart contrast

The Details

Everything in this rebrand was chosen on purpose. From the custom logo suite (primary, secondary, submark) to the color palette and typography system, the design speaks to a brand that has grown into herself—confident, clever, and a little cheeky.

A few of our favorite hidden gems:

  • Subtle nods to envelopes and postage in the logo design—symbolizing Moonstruck’s role in sending couples into their next chapter, with love.
  • The moonflower (also known as morning glory) appears softly throughout as a botanical motif. It represents beauty, unfolding beginnings, and romantic strength—everything Courtney brings to the planning process.
  • A brand shoot that was styled to the detail: from wardrobe and prop recs to shoot day management and on-site direction, we captured content that matched the brand in every frame.

The Result

A brand that doesn’t just look good—it means something. One that feels like Courtney: grounded in love, wildly creative, and ready to make your most meaningful day feel like magic.
